It is not how much you do,
but how much Love you put into the doing that matters.
-Mother Teresa

Tips
When you open your eyes, repeat this line from the Psalms: "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad." Commit to living in gratitude for the day, and you'll soon notice how much happier your days can become.

Water is a powerful spiritual symbol. As you soap and rinse in the shower, pray to be cleansed of any feelings of anger, bitterness, resentment, or regret. Recall the words of Isaiah (58:11): "The Lord will guide you continually… You shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail."

This one is especially for those who drive. Before starting the car engine, place your hands lightly on the steering wheel and breathe deeply several times. Ask the Holy Spirit to steer you through your day. Back out of your driveway slowly, and remain aware of God's Angels. Let grace-filled thoughts carry you in a loving manner through the day.

Instead of dividing our concentration among many tasks, do one thing at a time-prayerfully. Offer your work as a prayerful gift to God. Ask for the grace to do it meaningfully, and without anxiety.

Before you reach for the food, try this. Wait one minute. Offer the minute to God and ask for the grace you need.

"Never let a day go by without touching the earth with your foot." Take a five or ten minute break to walk in a meditative way. Give up your usual energized stride to pay attention to the movement of lifting your leg, bending your knee, and placing your foot. Observe your breathing and your body. Look around. Notice the birds, the trees, and the sounds of nature. Nature tunes us into God's presence.

30 Minutes Prayers

(5)

Clearing (5 minutes)

Use this time to relax and let your soul catch up with your body. Take a series of deep breaths, letting them out slowly. As you do, try to clear away any obstacles you may have brought with you to experiencing God's presence.

(5)

Focusing (5 minutes)

You may wish to read a few verses from Scripture or another writing you consider sacred. Whatever it is, it should be a kind that tells your intuitive self, "I'm now actively preparing to listen to the voices around my table, especially the voice of God." You may also wish to bring a particular question to the table. If you do, be open to the possibility that this may not be the subject God wants to talk about (trusting that whatever God wants to talk about is in your best interests to hear).

(10)

Listening (10 minutes)

Pay attention to thoughts and voices that enter your head. Don't decide too quickly that they're not of God. Instead, try to gently trace the origins, paying careful attention to your feelings about them. Do they make you scared, angry, anxious, calm, joyful? If you are exploring a particular question you've brought to the table, it is often helpful to intentionally ask, "What is my free child saying?" "What is my pessimist saying?" and so forth. There are normally a number of voices who show up regularly at your table. Who are they, and what are they saying?

(5)

Asking (5 minutes)

When most people pray, asking is all they do. They offer God their laundry list and then wonder why God never seems to get around to it. The truth is that God does want you to ask for things in prayer. However, God wants you to ask from your truest self. Chances are good that whatever is in the best interest of your truest self (not your paranoid self or your scared self or your "I just want to get ahead" self) is of more interest to God than it is even to you.

(5)

Thanking (5 minutes)

The mystics have always known that gratitude is one of the most powerful spiritual forces there is. Just like a child who asks and takes without ever thanking her parents rarely benefits from what is given, so an adult who never focuses on giving rarely receives. Start and End your prayer time with gratitude.

“You are my hiding place”
Lyrics:-

You are my hiding place
I run to You
I need Your mercy and grace
To see me through
So I’ll run to You

You are my strength O God
You will uphold me
You are my shield O God
You will protect me (2)

You are my hiding place
I run to You
I need Your mercy and grace
To see me through
So I’ll run to You

You are my strength O God
You will uphold me
You are my shield O God
You will protect me (2)

You are my hiding place
I run to You
I need Your mercy and grace
To see me through
So I’ll run to You (3)

I’ll run to You
I’ll run to You
I’ll run to You
I’ll run to You.

My next step is to be with God! thats for sure
by Lepoldina Pereira - Canada on 13th May, 2008
When I was single I lived without TV for 10 years. I know it sounds boring but I listened to a lot of radio and read a lot.
Moving in with my husband and having cable now I am so exposed and it is hard to shut off. What had been good is the Food station and others but it is mostly trash. When I did not watch TV my mind was so much more clean and I was so much more focused on God.....anyway thanks for this site....now i know what my next step should be!
and thanks for all your wonderful mails...

We are all a piece of God
by Keith V Lewis on 13th May, 2008
I once heard of a belief among some people that, as we are all a piece of God (Universal love - Goddess, whatever you want to call it) then we are (or were,) broken down into pieces called "Monads". This is a group of 16, 12 or whatever people who are incredibly similar to you, because they come from the same "Part of God". They are little pieces of God's "Arm" if you will

Now, when you meet those people, they are your soul mate and your job in this universe is to become so "Perfected" that you and your Monad collect together again and eventually go back to the wholeness of Creator. SO, if there is someone you absolutely detest on sight, maybe they are part of the big toe or something. Not to trivialize, but this metaphor might give a basic handle on a very complex concept.

Also, if you meet people whom you instantly have a jib with, maybe they are also part of the same arm, or the same Monad even. According to this theory, everyone has a large number of soulmates, and they tend to manifest int he same general area of life - since coming together is their ultimate destiny.

I believe we have many soulmates, and probably many anti soulmates. Our children, our friends, our family, all these people are very close to us and are drwan to us by the memory of being one. I'm not sure if I believe I'm part of God's eyelash, but I do like the idea that there are many people with whom we will be one, and all that comradery.

Greetings
by Sebastian D'Souza on 17th May, 2008
Greetings in Jesus's precious name.
I know the scripture which says."We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to to the godly man who does his will. "(John9:31)The scripture is very clear. It says that if one is a sinner God does not listens to him. Then how to approach God?First,He or she must be a child of God.Secondly he or she must receive Jesus as his or her saviour(John1:12)Then only God becomes his or her Father.Simply if somebody says to God, his Father,God does not becomes his Father. Because Jesus says,"Those who call me Lord,Lord I will say to them I don't know you."So one has to restore that relation by and through Jesus. That's why Jesus says."I am the way, the truth and the life,no one comes to the Father except through me."For that one has to commit his life to Jesus and accept him as his saviour then God gives his Spirit and then only one can talk to God through his Spirit, that is Holy Spirit,If one does not have the Holy Spirit he or she is not the child of God and God does not listens to them.Scripture says."because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons
of God."(Romans8:14)

I committed my life to Jesus on 17th August 1979.I accepted him as my Saviour.and since then, I talk to God on daily basis as a person talks to a person directly. And God talks to me.I can approach God anywhere and at any time.I have that much confidence.God has given me eternal life. That means I am going to live for ever becuase my Jesus is alive for ever.He is in me and I am in him.I am a Christian (Christ in).Jesus has given me hope.Jesus has given me vision. That's why I enjoy God.I enjoy talking to him.He loves me more than his son.He scrificed his son for my sins in order to draw me nearer and to make me his child.Anyone can approach God but there is a way,his way and not our way.He has given his way in the bible. One has to read and obey.God wants doers and not hearers.Bible says"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.Do what it says. "(James1:22).This is the way I talk to God.My dear brother God loves you.He wants to come in your life for he says."Behold, here I am!I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,I will come in and eat with him,and he with me."(Rev.3:20)Do not keep him waiting outside for long.He loves you and your family. Bye.

Your friend,
Sebastian D'Souza.
