~It Is What It Is !~

Hi Everybody,
I got married in May 08 and my husband is working in kuwait. He left after a month of our marriage. He is unable to take me in kuwait so we want to live together here in Goa. He wants to come back home but his company is not giving his passport back to him even thou they have said he can go. Its been 2 months he is struggling to come home. Please pray for us as we want to live together as we vowed in the church. I need my husband alot and I love him like mad.

Everyone in this world will have a defining moment in their lives. No one can predict what that defining moment will be. For some, it will be the loss of a job, a life altering illness, loss of a loved one, or in the case of Simon of Cyrene, just being at a certain place at a certain time.

So often, there will be nothing that we have or haven’t done that has created this defining moment, but it will be something that by its very nature will ultimately change the course of our life. More often than not, there will be several significant events in our lifetimes that will mold and shape us along the way.

The word of God tells us that each of us has our own cross to bear. The size and the weight of the cross will be different for each of us. Now, I am not referring to a cross in a literal sense, but rather figuratively. The cross is symbolic of our journey through life.

The cross is representative of the trials and tribulations that we will be faced with along the way. Family, finances, health issues, and just plain old living are some of the crosses we carry. Some, we carry very easily while others weigh us down. Some we don’t mind carrying, while others we wish we could just be rid of.

Life’s reality is this; it is what it is.

Our crosses in life are necessary for our spiritual and physical development. And sometimes, our crosses are necessary so that others can see the Spirit of God working in our lives. Whatever the reason for your cross, remember,

Jesus said it best; anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Lord, we come before the throne of grace, to give thanks, honor and praise to the one true God. We come humbling ourselves as we seek refuge in the arms of Your protection. Father God, we come asking for the strength and the courage to bear our cross will all due diligence. Sometimes our cross becomes more than we can bear. Help us always to remember that in those times, You, our strength and our redeemer are always there. Thank You Lord, for strength and comfort. Pls pray and do not give up as I also had similar problem and it was solved. I stormed heaven and I said my St Jude Novena who is a patron for desperate cases and if your prayers are heard and your husband returns, then you must print some Holy Pictures of St Jude and distribute it in your parish.

Dear Mary, I know what you are going through. First of all you knew before your marriage that your husband will have to leave you here in India. Secondely your husband must have signed a contract for certain period. Now a days it is not easy to take one's wife or even if one succeeds it is difficult to get a job for you. Moreover it is extremely difficult to live with one person's salary. So I feel that you should give some time for your husband to think and try all the avenues to find a solution for the problem. Company will neither give his passport nor leave him untill they get proper replacement. They will see their own interest. Nevertheless you should try to contact Mr.Eduard Faleiro who is looking after such cases. He is in Goa and he is the right person to help you. He is very helpful and also a person who will go all out to help people like you. He has already done yoman's service for not only goans but all Indians working abroad. He will guide and also help you. He is a ambassador for the people working abroad. He has some kind of authority. Please contact him immediately and he will do the needful.

Meantime we can pray to Jesus. Because he died for your sins and nobody else. All other avenues are useless and waste of time and energy. so I would suggest you to commit your life to Jesus today and see what Jesus can do for you.Go in your room and say this prayer. "Lord Jesus I believe that i am a sinner. I also believe that you died for my sins. Lord Jesus please forgive my sins and cleanse my heart with your precious blood. Lord Jesus thank you for forgiving my sins and making worthy to come before you and also thank you for accepting me as your child. Lord Jesus I want to commit my life to you. Dear Mary, I know what you are going through. Have faith and the rest will follow. I too was in the Gulf for 12 years working in the hot boiling sun and I know it is not easy there. I too got married and same as in your case could not live alone. In just one year, I was back in Mumbai to live with my beloved wife. Believe me, the first one month was good, but when there is no job? The monetary issues start popping up. First of all think, think, and again think!!!! Are U both financially sound? If not, is your husband going to work here? After getting the hot fast money in the lacs to work for thousands in Goa? Men with the ego problems would usually not work. I was without a job for 2 years after leaving my job in the Gulf for 2 years, but we had a roof over our head with around 5 lacs in standby for this time of need so we managed it. Today’s world does not. When there is money the whole world is with U. If not U are alone remember that. Now I am working and getting a salary of around 10 to 12 thousand rupees and we are managing, where before marriage I used to draw around 60 to 80 thousand when there was good overtime. So are U2 going to compromise on this issue. There is a song from the Eagles “LOVE will keep us alive.” That is only for the books and not in reality. This is not to discourage U but only an eye opener because we 2 also passed through the same phase as U2 are passing through.

Pray to Mother Mary and say the rosary. We did the same and it helped a lot. My wife’s favorite hymn is “In His time” sing that him and U will get refuge.

Meanwhile V will pray for U2.

Dear Readers, Many a times I have come across on this website that people advise to say rosary on every human problem. I am not averse of rosary. But what I want to stress that whether God listens such prayers? Because in gospel of Mathew chapter 6 and verse 7 Jesus says."And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Verse 8 says. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him". When Jesus says don't do it, still people go on saying. Isn't it disobeying? And to disobey God is sin. I am surprised to read one Mrs.Lourdes D'Costa saying repeatedly "If Jesus frees me, I shall be freed." I think she does not know the bible. Jesus came in this world to set people free. Free from sin. Jesus says. "Come to me all those who are weary and burdened (with sin) and I will give you rest. (Mathew 11:28) Instead of going to Jesus, this lady says if Jesus frees I shall be free. And how long she is saying (praying) this God alone knows. My humble request to that lady is, instead of insulting and disobeying God she should commit her life to Jesus. Jesus will not only set her free once for all but also give her free gift of eternal life which is called salvation ..And once she receives that eternal life then she need not pray at all. God will be happy and she will be also happy. Mrs Maria Dias also says the same. When one says Rosary that person repeatedly says mother of God. I am sure that she does not know what she says. My humble request to her is that God has no father and no mother. God is supreme, he is Almighty. And to pray that way is not only insult but an abomination. If one is doing out of ignorance is all right. God forgives. But if one does even after explaining, then it is a sin. Why I am saying this because people should be made aware of such folly. Else they go on doing it. Atleast those who know should take initiative and make them understand. I am doing it out of shere love. Hope they understand me and forgive me. God bless you. If Mrs.Lourdes D'Costa and Mrs.Maria Dias want to commit their life to Jesus should say this prayer. "Lord Jesus I believe that I am a sinner. I also believe that you died for my sins. Lord Jesus please forgive my sins and cleanse my heart with your precious blood. Lord Jesus thank you for forgiving my sins and making me worthy to come before you. I also thank for cleansing me and making me your child. Lord Jesus give me your Spirit. I commit my life in your hands. Lord Jesuus I promise to read your word everyday.Once again I thank you in Jesus's name.Amen." Noe henceforth no need of saying rosary instead read biible.
