dear director,
Greetings and prayerful wishes from Fr. Joseph Vijay Kumar. let me tell about my work. here. First I introduce myself as Fr. Joseph Vijay Kumar CH. ordained for the Diocese of Srikakulam on April 15, 2008. As my first appointment I was sent as boarding in charge for the boys run by the Diocese as pre-university course. In my second year of my priesthood I was sent as Associate Director of boarding. Which is also run by the Diocese. This is my first appointment as the independent priest and first appointment as the Parish Priest
As this year is pronounced as Year of the Priests, our diocese with the Priests’ General Body has made few plans for this year and to be followed later too. One of it is to take up a non-Catholic village and evangelize at least a few people and bring them to faith in Christ. We as a team, with sisters, catechist, prayer groups, have identified two villages and have started the mission. There is a good response from these two villages. As there needs a lot of follow up and animation work involving myself, sisters, catechists, prayer groups, etc, for transportation and other expenses, we are in need of the finances and other support.
Since I am appointed as the Parish Priest and in charge of orphans’ boarding. I do not have my personal transportation too and more so it is extremely difficult when ever we as a team go to these villages for prayer meeting and educate the catechumens. It is extremely difficult for us to travel during the evenings and return to the parish head quarters. The people of the out-stations and the main station are good and supportive. We have five villages under this parish. The present two villages will be included in the parish once a community is started. The diocese is also not able to support us fully in regard to the finances with her limitations and other demands.
These two villages showing interest are responding well. They are more interested in knowing Christ. Since the people are daily agricultural laborers we find the people home only in the evenings. We need to buy Christian literature like Bibles, spiritual books, religious articles like statues, rosaries, etc,
May I request you to consider this as urgent and important need and help us in this regard financially in the form of Mass intentions I promise to fulfill your requests. We as parish will be ever grateful for your generosity. We assure you our prayers at all times. I wish you all the best..
Yours Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Joseph Vijay Kumar.

Greetings and prayerful good wishes from your loving and grateful priest Fr. Martin (Praveen) Puthiyamangalath, India. I hope and pray that these few lines of mine would find you at the best of your health of mind and body. I am really happy and privileged to write to you.
May I take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am a Catholic Priest belonging to the missionary society of Heralds of Good News, founded by Very Rev. Dr. Jose Kaimlett. I was ordained a priest on 27th April, 2009 by Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kallarangatt, the Bishop of Palai, in my home parish. As a priest this is my second appointment. At present I am serving in mission station in the Catholic Diocese of Neyyattinkara.
May I give you some details about the Diocese, my Mission Community, Place and People.
The Catholic Diocese of Neyyattinkara:
It is a mission diocese erected in 1994, and the bishop is Most Rev. Vincent Samuel. It has many religious, social, educational, and charitable institutions, which cater to the various needs of people. We, the missionaries together are working hard to spread the message of Christ Jesus in our land and thus bring many more people to faith in Jesus on whom we depend for our life.
The Mission Station:
Besides the centre community there are also a few village communities under the pastoral care of this mission station. I go there everyday and visit families, instruct them in Christian faith, give them more knowledge about Christ, talk to them, listen to their problems and difficulties and pray with them. Thus even at their poverty they feel happy and comforted.
The Place and the People:
This place is called Mulluvila which is rather a small town. All this area is dry land and the people here depend mostly on seasonal rains for any cultivation.
They all live in unity, love and respect for one another. Most of the people here are poor and their only means of livelihood is daily labor. To be more precise except a few people who are engaged in business all others belong to the working class. It is a sad thing to note that due to their poverty and struggle for daily survival. We began a new school at this mission area but many of the parents do not send their children to school. A good number of children are sent to work everyday to meet the expenses of their daily life. Thus many children do not enjoy the privilege of going to school and getting educated. After knowing the situation and experiencing their difficulties I could not fold my hands and sit back, forgetting and bypassing the difficulties of the people. And so as a preliminary step I started free evening classes and special tuition for the children of this area and many children are happy to come and learn something. I am also happy that they show interest in getting educated. I only pray that God may grant me good health to continue His mission of service.
I wish to bring to your kind notice and consideration that as a very young priest I do not have any financial stability to support the helpless children in their education and to help the poor people. But I am sure that with the support and generous help of good people like you we will be able to do much and many more good works for the poor and the needy and thus share God’s love with them. I wish to help children in their education, bring them up to the level of decent citizens and help people to lead a better life. For this, our social need and concern for the people of God may I approach you with a humble request.
Request for Mass Intentions:
The missionary society (Heralds of Good News) to which I belong is still in its infancy and growth. As this society has about 300 priests already and as it does not have more Mass Intentions to give we are allowed by the authorities of the society, to get Mass intentions from other sources like yours. Therefore if you don’t mind and if it is possible may I humbly request you to kindly send me some Mass Intentions, so that with your generosity, love and concern for the poor we will be able to join hands together and extend them to assist the poor children in their educational needs and help the people in their financial and other social requirements for which they approach me very often. I assure you that together with me all the people of this area who would be benefiting from your generosity will certainly be grateful to you and will remember you in our prayers with lots of love and gratitude.
Along with this request, I have enclosed the copy of the certificate of my priestly ordination.
It is with much hope and deep sentiments of gratitude that I write this letter to you now requesting you for some Mass Intentions. I pray earnestly and most sincerely that God inspires you to kindly consider my request and help me generously in this real social need.
Once again I thank you in anticipation from the bottom of my heart for your kind and generous concern for our missions and assure you God’s continuous assistance for all your selfless works for the poor and needy that you are doing in the Holy name of Jesus.
Humbly requesting for your valuable prayers, blessings and kind support I remain,

dear director,
Greetings and prayerful wishes from Fr. Pudota Dathu Balaraju.
I am working in a remote parish consisting of six mission stations. All are located nearly 10 to 20 km away from headquarters. Everyday i go one mission station to offer Holy Eucharist. since they are economically poor they are unable to support me. in none of the villages i get mass stipend. If you can help me with some mass intentions it will be very usefull for the mission.
