Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Let God Work it Out!
by Corine on 11th Aug, 2009
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:6-7

Are there days when it seems that life is so overwhelming that you just can't take it? Are there times when no matter what you do things just won't go the way you want them to? You’ve prayed about it, cried about it, tried to do something about it, and nothing happens?

Well today I want you to recognize and realize that God can't do anything about your situation until you take your hands off of it! You ask, what do you mean, take my hands off it, I told you I already prayed about it!

When you talk to God about those situations, let him know that you know he is working it out. He already knows about it. Calm your spirit and wait on the Lord. Do those things that you must that are within your power, but let God take the lead and direct you.

Trust him, he will work it out!

Lord, we come before the throne of Grace knowing that You are still there. We leave it all on the altar. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Be Blessed

Wake up before it is too late.
by Sebastian D'Souza on 13th Aug, 2009
Dear Readers,
Christian greetings. This type of natural calamity bound to come. And when it comes we who are not affected must pray for the sufferers. Few years tsunami did the same thing in some parts of the world and lacks of people were affected including India. We prayed and tried to help them in cash and kind. And now in Japan and in Taiwan, typhoon has devastated many parts of those countries and affected lacks of people. We will definately do our best if not in anything but definately by praying.
But what is next? Just wait for another calamity to come on us and get perished? Suppose something like that happens to us,what shall we do? get perished? Everyone has to give serious thought and take precaution before it happens. We cannot simply go on blaming God because He has given ample indications beforehand that we should repent and submit our lives to Him.Luke 13 and verse 3 and 5 Jesus says. " I tell you, unless you repent you will likewise perish." Elsewhere again Jesus gives signs for ending days saying such calamities would come. This typhoon and the previous tsunami and also earthquakes taking place to show to the mankind that the time has come of His coming. Are we to go on praying or repent and come back to God? My dear brothers and sisters, do not ignore the call of Lord Jesus. Come to Him and commit your life to Him and say this prayer " Lord Jesus I believe that I am a sinner. I also believe that you died for my sins. Lord Jesus please forgive my sins and cleanse my heart with your precious blood and make me righteous. Lord Jesus thank you for forgiving my sins and also thanks for cleansing my heart. I want to commit my life to you. Lord Jesus give me the gift of the Holy Spirit which you have promised to us. Thank you for giving me your Spirit. I promise to read your word everyday and also promise to obey your teaching.Lord Jesus bless me and also my family. Help me in my day to day's work. Heavenly Father I praise and worship you in the mighty name of Jesus.Amen.
Since you have committed your life to Him, be sure that you are safe. Jesus will protect you from any eventuality. His promise is such that He will protect you and your household. Trust Him and do what you have promised. He will guide you and lead you in his ways. Hallelujah.

Here is another calamity knocking at the door.
by Sebastian D'Souza on 13th Aug, 2009
Dear Readers,
Christian greetings. As I was watching NDTV new this evening, I came across frightening figures of the present natural calamity which has gripped the world that is H1N1.Total cases detected till this date is 1,77,457 and people died due to this deadly decease are 1462 worldwide. In India itself the number is 21 which is negligible compare to the population of this country. People detected so far in India are below thousand. In Mumbai schools are shut down for a week. In Delhi for three days. Bangalore and other cities, respective govts are trying to do their best to stop spreading this decease further.
In my first letter I mentioned about tsunami and typhoon. I also mentioned about the sign of earthquakes. And now this epidamic is knocking at the door. What shall we do then? Or do what Corine says. " Let the Lord work it out. " and wait till the axe fall on ourselves? She also says in her letter that we should do the things which are within our power. She is right in saying that. I also said in my above letter that we should wake up before it is too late. Once again I appeal to you my dear brothers and sisters that you should commit your life to Jesus.I have given the prayer in my above letter. Say it and guard yourself.Jesus is a Mighty God. He will protect you from any eventuality. Come into his fold and become one of his sheep so that being a Good Shepherd let him keep you under his care. For he cares for you. Not only that over and above he loves you. I committed my life to Jesus thirty years back and till today I feel secured and confident that my life is in safe hands. I am also enjoying his love abundantly. That's why I can say My Lord is great.
There is no one who can save us except Lord Jesus.Hallelujah. He is God because He is alive. God gives opportunity to every one so that no one should miss chance. No one should think that his wealth or religion will save him. Possession and position has no meaning when one faces such calamity. That's why I said " Wake up before it is too late. " No one has seen tomorrow. Let tomorrow take care of itself but you, come to the saving Christ and commit your life to him. Hallelujah. Bye. God bless you.

We walk by faith, not by sight.
by Anjali on 14th Aug, 2009
Remember, We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. ~

Scripture:
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

How many of you know people who always see only the negative in a situation? They always manage to find something wrong with anybody and everything. They are usually known as pessimist. A pessimist will usually see the glass half empty, never half full.

As I read the above quote I started looking at some of the people around me. I know quite a few people that no matter what, can’t enjoy life because they are always waiting for the other shoe to drop. They usually walk around with a woe is me mentality, spreading gloom and doom in their wake. I even know several Christians who think like that.

One thing that we must always remember is that no matter what you may going through, what you lose, what you don’t have; we always have something to be thankful for.

We are not defined by our circumstances but rather it is He who define our circumstances!

Prayer:
Lord, Help us Lord to find the path that You have chosen for us. Help us Lord, to develop greater faith. Help us Lord, to see the world through the eyes of Jesus. Father, we come surrendering our lives to You. Help us to learn to lean on You. Help us Lord to learn that it’s not always about what we see but truly about what You are teaching us. Teach us Lord to lean upon You. To depend upon You and not the things of this world. Lord, help us to realize that our circumstances do not define us, You do. You have already told us that You would never leave us nor forsake us. Bless us Lord. Keep us Lord. Restore our sight once again. So that we may lift our eyes towards heaven and see Your divine vision for us. Father, we come praising and uplifting Your name once again. As we ask and pray this and all things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Be Blessed

These are just reminders.
by Arturo Flores on 14th Aug, 2009
These are just reminders that we need an Almighty God to run to and take refuge in times of calamity. These are just reminders that man made high tech devices are no justifications to claim that we are gods. No matter how advanced man's knowledge of the secrets of nature, man remains incapable and cannot hope to control the forces of nature.
