Is the Devil Real?

Many people scoff at the idea that the devil is real, but he is real and we must not be deceived into thinking that he's not. Who is the devil? Learn how he's a spirit son of God who desired God's power, rebelled against God, and started a war in heaven. Also learn how the scriptures and prophets testify of the reality of the devil.

The Devil is a Son of God:

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ should believe that the devil is a real being. Just like all of us he was born in the pre-existence { We lived (as spirits) before we were born, in a place called the Pre-Existence (or heaven) with God, who is our Heavenly Father, and the father of our spirits. God presented to us his Plan of Salvation; a Savior was chosen; and Satan rebelled.} and is a spirit son of God. In the pre-existence, before he fell and became the devil, he was called Lucifer which means "Shining One or Lightbearer." He was also known as a "Son of the Morning" although later he became known as Satan.

The Devil Desired Power:

Lucifer rebelled against God and began a war in Heaven. Other angels fell when they rebelled against God and followed Satan. These are angels that have fallen from God's grace,to never return to the presence of God. . Satan and one-third of the angels were thrown out of Heaven to forever be denied the blessings in an attempt to place themselves as rulers in the Kingdom of Heaven, by overthrowing God and the faithful angels. Fallen angels have sided and allied with Lucifer by misusing the free will that had been granted to them by God.

One theory about the cause of the conflict is that when God created man he called upon all of angelic forces to bow before his new creation. Lucifer at that time being one of the highest angel found this too humbling by far and refused to debase himself in this manner and duly asked if
"A son of fire should be forced to bow before a son of clay?".

A similar theory and one very much like the latter suggests that Lucifer should bow before Jesus the son of man. In the pre-existence Lucifer was a righteous spirit (or angel) who gained power, knowledge, and authority from God. However, when God presented His great Plan of Salvation (to allow men the opportunity to become like Him through gaining a body and exercising agency) "Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man, which I, the Lord God, had given him, and also, that I should give unto him mine own power" (Moses 4:3).

Whatever the reason for the conflict Lucifer appeared to be outgrowing his post as highest of the Seraphim and chief of Angels.

Michael the Archangel Defeats the Great Dragon

Revelation 12:7-10:
A supernatural battle occurs between the Angels of God and the Fallen Angels of Satan.
The Angels of God prevail:

7. And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon; and the Dragon fought and his angels,
8. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in Heaven.
9. And the Great Dragon was cast out, that Old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceived the whole world: he was cast out into the Earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10. And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, 'Now is come Salvation, and Strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the Power of His Christ: for the Accuser of our Brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God Day and Night.'

WHO IS HE?
Is Lucifer the opposite of God?

Lucifer cannot be God's opposite because he was created by God.
Lucifer is the opposite of Michael. (the Head Archangel)

The traditional theory is that Satan was the angel that betrayed and then led the revolt against God. It boils down to Satan that he was very jealous of the love that God felt towards Adam. Either by transforming into a snake or just using the snake as a tool, Satan tempted Eve with the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge.

The Devil is Real:

When the devil and his followers were cast out of heaven they were sent to Earth where they, as evil and invisible spirits, seek to destroy all mankind. Although Satan does not possess a physical body he is a real being who is in eternal opposition to the Father who "seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself" .

The devil and his angels seek to destroy us by tempting and deceiving us. They try to lead us away from God and Christ. Indeed, one of the devil's greatest deceptions is to persuade us that "there is no devil."
"And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance".

Scriptures State that the Devil is Real:

To deny the reality of Satan is not only a deception, it is illogical. There are many scriptures supporting the literal existence of Satan:
"For I say unto you that whatsoever is good cometh from God, and whatsoever is evil cometh from the devil"

From the New Testament we know that Christ cast out devils (Satan's followers) and was tempted by Satan himself. Not only do the scriptures and prophets testify of the reality of the devil but you can know for yourself, through the power of the Holy Spirit, that the devil is real.

We Must Not Be Deceived:

When we deny the existence of the devil, thinking of him as merely a symbol of evil, we set ourselves up for destruction. How can we defend ourselves against an enemy we do not believe exists?
"We Members of The Church of Jesus Christ need not be, and we must not be, deceived by the sophistries of men concerning the reality of Satan. There is a personal devil, and we had better believe it. He and a countless host of followers, seen and unseen, are exercising a controlling influence upon men and their affairs in our world today."

Although we should not spend an inordinate amount of time dwelling upon the devil's existence, we still must study the scriptures to understand who he is, what his tactics are, and what his ultimate goal for mankind is. The war in heaven still carries on today. The devil seeks to destroy us while Christ strives to lead us back into the presence of the Father. Each of us is at war and we must choose for whom we will do battle. If we are deceived into believing there is no devil we may find that we are furthering his cause. Let us not be deceived. And Remember!

And will you notice? The devil quoted the bible also, just as the CULTISTS do.
The devil we face today will turn it around to make YOU think he is right. Don't believe it.

Christian greetings. Satan knows very well that he cannot deceive people any more, so he is devising new ideas to deceive people. One is religion. He has divided people on this deception. Everybody thinks he is religious thus he goes on worshiping his own created god and thus denies the living God who created him.Thus he becomes rebellion.Satan has induced man to create images and thus he has deceived man and made him a rebellion. See around and you will find images and statues in every church and temple. What are these images? Nothing but creation of man and induced by Satan. Just imagine when Aron made a image of calf and gave it to the people who demanded, when Moses went on the mountain and did not turn up for forty days. And how God was angry with the people and ordered Moses to go down and destroy that calf. Just think of all this mess and how God must be angry with present people who indulge in idolatry. Paul in his letters to all the churches advises to flee from idols. One thing is sure that those who are worshiping in any form any image or any other object of worship are heading for big disaster or rather doom. Unless they turn away from such things,they will definately meet their destiny and that destiny is hell.Muslims are no exception to that. Though they do not worship idols yet they do not believe Jesus as Saviour. They are also deceived. Muslims believe Jesus but not as a saviour and Son of God but as a prophet. They believe that Jesus is coming again yet they don't believe him as God.Unless Jesus is alive how He can come back? For this muslims have no answer. I feel pity for them.I asked so many muslim scholars but non could answer. Their destiny is also the same.
Satan knows very well that he is a defeated foe. So also he knows that his end days are near, he is hell bent on deceiving people. Thanks to those people who are reading bible and also who are following bible.Just reading is not important but obeying is important. Obedience is more acceptable to God than mere sacrifice. For God is not delighted in sacrifice but obedience. And unless one reads bible how one will know what to obey? Bible makes us aware of Satan's plans and devices. And if one reads and obeys bible, God gives him the weapons to defeat the devil. As a believer I know those weapons and also know to use them against the enemy. God has given Holy Spirit to those believers who obey the Lord Jesus Christ, who guides them in their daily lives through the Holy Spirit to fight the devil and defeat him. Christian greetings. Satan who was called Lucifer when he was in heaven and also he was a leading coir master. Being the leader of the musicians he was on the forefront. God was on his thrown as usual and hosts of angels were worshiping God. As Lucifer saw hosts of angels bowing down and worshiping God felt jealous and in jealousy he thought that he also be worshiped by the angels. The moment he thought, this very thought brought him down from God's grace and was thrown out of heaven who turned against God and became God's enemy. His name was changed from Lucifer to Satan instantly. And surprisingly Satan is still having that desire in his heart even today. In a way he wants to take God's place and rule people for his kingdom.In New Testament he is called Prince of this world. (John 14:30) and virtually controlling the whole world. ( 1John 5:19)
Knowing all the plans of Satan, God gave ten commandments to Moses and warned him to give them to his people in the wilderness when God brought His people out of Egypt. And God gave His 1st commandment baring His people from either making or worshiping any image and warned them not to make any image in likeness of men or women and also warned them through Moses not to worship them. For God knew Satan's desire to receive adoration and worship from people when He gave His 1st commandment. That is why Satan instigated people to make idols and images under the pretext of religions. Today we see people are not only divided but are indulging in making and worshiping idols and images all over world. The moment image or idol is made, Satan enters that image knowing very well that people will install that image in their house and start worshiping it.And he will receive their glory. All Satan wants is glory.
Satan has succeeded in killing two birds with one stone. One is by instigating people to make images and idols he has turned them into rebellion and secondly he has succeeded in receiving worship and adoration from people. Satan is very subtle. He knows how to cheat and rob people. Not only that his final plan is to destroy the whole mankind.
Satan knows that all the people of this world are under his control. So he is not worried about them but he is disturbed because of the believers. They are not under him for they know him and also they know his plans. Satan cannot fool them because of that he is furious with them. He is hell bent to trouble them by creating trouble in their families. He will not succeed but definately he deceive some who are weak in faith. My dear friends I have tried to some extend to make you aware of his plans and devices. Please take note of those points and try to avoid and save yourselves. Satan is too strong and also too clever for you. Best would be to commit your life to Jesus. Because Jesus is too stronger for him.He cannot fight with Jesus. He has been already defeated on the cross.Satan shudders with the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. It is high time for you to save yourself from this enemy. Dear friends, God is calling you

Christian greetings.God loves you. He has created every creature on this planet. Among all his creations he loves man and woman more than others because He has created them in His own image and in His likeness. He has also imbibed His own qualities in them. He loves them more than his or her parents.
But sadly as their first parents Adam and Eve disobeyed God and decided to follow Satan God drove them from his presence cursing them for their betrayal. Though he drove them, still He loved them as before. Day and night he remembered them. God is just and He cannot tolerate any disobedience. When Adam and Eve were with God, He had given them certain guidelines to maintain their lives through out. But now God was not their master but Satan. And he being their master imbibed his qualities in them. As time passed men and women indulged in sin and became more corrupt. Now they made their own gods and started worshiping them. But God could not forget them. He still longed for them
The Bible says. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
The Bible also says. “There is no one righteous,
there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless
there is no one who does good,
not even one.(Romans 3:10-12)
When man and woman had fellowship with God, they were as good as their creator, but now they were fallen couple. First they became sinners and also worthless. They stopped seeking God. And whatever curses they incurred passed on to the future generations. Thus everybody became sinner. As a sinner people do not have access to God’s presence. Though man stopped following God and started worshiping his own man made god, but his creator the living God could not forget him. His intense love made him to think otherwise to bring mankind back to himself. God chalked out a new and powerful plan to execute on this planet. He decided to send His own son Jesus Christ in this world.
Jesus came and preached salvation, love and forgiveness. He also knew weakness of the people. So Jesus said to them. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”(Mathew 11:28) Jesus knew that people are burdened with sin and they could not pay the penalty for their sins. He loved them. His love and compassion made him to go on the cross and shed his precious blood, so that they may be set free from the hold of the Devil. In order to set them free He preferred to die and instead pay the penalty for them.
If you feel that you are burdened with sin and unable to bear it’s pressure, come to Jesus. His invitation is still available. What is required is your decision. Decide it before it is too late so that you can receive mercy and blessings. If so, come and say the following prayer when you are alone.
“Lord Jesus, I believe that I am a sinner. I also believe that you died for my sins. Lord Jesus please forgive my sins and cleanse my heart with your precious blood. Loving Jesus thanks for forgiving my sins and also thanks for cleansing my heart. Come in my heart and make my heart your dwelling. Also give me the gift of the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus thanks for giving me your Spirit. I promise to read your word everyday and also promise to obey your teaching. Heavenly Father I praise and worship you. I also adore you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.”

God's word is true.

Dear friends,
This morning I would like to tell you what God has put in my heart. One thing we know for sure that God loves each one of us and also we know that like his Father Jesus also loves us. His ministry was to show the way to the people and lead them to repentance. While preaching Jesus made known to the people his God given authority and power of his word. He said.
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”(Mathew 24:35)
And seven hundred years before Jesus, prophet Isaiah prophesied about the authority and power of his word saying.
“So is my word that goes out of my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”(Isaiah 55:11)

If you read these two quotations which are given above, you will come to know that Jesus’ words are true and they are really making impact on the world. Gospel is being preached all over the world 24X7 and changing lives of millions of people. There are many other religious books but none can make such impact on people’s lives as compared to the Bible. I am amazed when I see the effect of his word on my life. It was in 1962 seventeen years before my conversion to Christianity, one person came to me with the gospel. He was our school peon when I was studying. He was talking about Jesus but nothing went to my head. Though my eyes were on him but my mind was wondering as to who gave him such knowledge that he could speak so fluently about Jesus. I sent him empty handed since I did not accept Jesus as my Savior.
Again in 1978 one person came to my house with the gospel and told me about Jesus. This time I gave patiently my ear to his each and every word. While discussing he just mentioned that I am a sinner. Though I did not like but still did not react. He too went empty handed. One day as I was sitting alone, those words that man had spoken came back to my mind and started thinking about the gospel. Being Catholic I knew Jesus and I followed him. But I didn’t knew much about Jesus. That man had told me to read the Bible. So in order to know more about Jesus I thought of reading the New Testament. Next day I managed to get one copy from the school library where I was teaching. As I went on, I found that whatever information I had about Jesus was too little. I was knowing only about his birth and death and nothing more. I kept reading for nearly ten months. Gospel became my favourite book. I never knew that the words spoken earlier by those two persons were still in my subconscious mind and were making tremendous effect on my life. One day as a family, when we were praying God convicted me of my sinful life. I did not delay but repented immediately and committed my life to Jesus. And accepted him as my Savior. God had to wait patiently for 16 years till his words which were spoken through two witnesses, were fulfilled. Because that was the only way I could save myself from sin and destruction of my soul. And now when I think about words spoken by Isaiah are true. Those very words have changed my life. First they changed my heart by bringing conviction in me and then in my mind by renewing it. And now after thirty one years of Christian life, my life is totally changed. His word has become my breath. Jesus lives in me. I breath Jesus, I smell Jesus, I hear Jesus and now I don’t live but Jesus lives in me. His words have done the work which God desired when those two men spoke to me. His words have not returned empty, but have accomplished what God desired and achieved the purpose for which God sent it. Hallelujah. Glory be to God.
