Reparatory  Holy Hour for the Blasphemies
(Special focus on the Fatima Message)

Introduction (before exposition): During part of the night between 29th and 30th May 1930, the following was revealed to Sr. Lucia “My daughter, there are 5 ways in which people offend and blaspheme against the Immaculate Heart of Mary”.

Before this, on 10th Dec, 1925, as promised, Our Lady appeared with the Child Jesus to Lucia. The Child Jesus spoke first “Have compassion on the Heart of Your Most Holy Mother, which is covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, while there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation”.

Then Our Lady said to Lucia “My daughter, look at My Heart surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful man pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You, at least, try to console me, and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who do the First Saturdays devotion.”

In the words of the Servant of God, Pope John Paul II, “Instead of reparation, I see unbridled rationalization, even acceptance and denial of sin. “Blasphemy is a grave sin, anyone who offends Our Lady, commits a two fold offence, for these sins also offend Her Divine Son and endanger our salvation.

This Holy Hour is an act to console Our Most Holy Mother and Her Divine Son by this act of reparation.

At Exposition: Let us begin with a Hymn: -   COME AND WORSHIP

Come and worship royal priesthood, come and praise Him Holy nation,

Worship Jesus our Redeemer, He is precious: King of glory.

Come and worship… worship Jesus in the Eucharist….

Come and worship … worship Jesus Bread of heaven…

Jesus, we thank You for the next one hour as we pray in Your mighty presence.

Lord at this moment, we are conscious of Your adorable presence in the consecrated Bread of life. With eyes of faith, we believe that You are present – Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Thank You Lord, for bringing us together, to lift our Hearts to You, despite all our work in our daily hectic routine in the silence of our beings.

We shall now recite the Morning Offering (This prayer is modeled after the Eucharistic Prayer recited by the Angel of Fatima at his third Apparition in 1916.)

“O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, (here kiss your Brown Scapular as a sign of our Consecration. This carries a partial indulgence) I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus present on all the altars of the world, joining with the offering of my every thought, word and action of this day.

O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them together with myself, to Mary Immaculate – that she may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart”.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Save us!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us!

            St Joseph, Pray for us!

Blessed Francisco and Jacinta, Pray for us!

Servant of God, Sr Lucia, Pray for us!

We shall now recite the Eucharist Prayer, which the three children used to do often:

“O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!” (3 times)

Optional (depending on time): The Text of the Life Offering (1955)  “My dear Jesus, before the Trinity, Our Heavenly Mother, and the whole Heavenly Court , united with Your Most Precious Holy Blood and Your sacrifice on Calvary , hereby I offer my whole life to the Intention of Your Holy Heart and to the Holy Heart of Mary. Together with my life, I place at Your disposal all the Holy Masses, all my Holy Communions, all my good deeds, all my sacrifices, and the sufferings of my entire life for the adoration and supplication of the Holy Trinity, for unity in our Holy Mother Church, for the Holy Father and the priests, for good priestly vocation, and for all the souls until the end of the world.

O my Jesus, please accept my life sacrifice and my offerings and give me Your grace that I may persevere obediently until my death. Amen.”

(This life offering must be done with humble heart, firm resolution, and clear intent. All prayer, good deeds, suffering, and work done with pure intention have great merit, if they are offered together with the merits, the sufferings, and the blood of Jesus Christ).

Prayer of Contrition: O my Jesus, I love You over and above everything! For the love of You I am sorry for all my sins. O merciful love, I ask pardon for the sins of the world.

United with the Immaculate Heart of Our Heavenly Mother, I ask pardon for all my sins and for all the sins of my brothers and sisters that have been and will be committed until the end of the world.

My dear Jesus, united with Your Holy Wounds I offer my life to the Eternal Father according to the intention of the Sorrowful Mother.

Virgin Mary, Queen of the world, Mediatrix before Christ for humanity, our only refuge and hope, pray for us!

We shall now offer prayers in Reparation for the Blasphemies and at the end of all the prayers, we pray the Sacrifice Prayer that Our Lady taught the three children:

1.      For the blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception…

2.      For the blasphemies against the Virginity of our Blessed Mother…

3.      For the blasphemies against the Divine Maternity, refusing at the same time to accept Her as the Mother of all mankind…

4.      For those who try publicly to implant in the children’s hearts, indifference, contempt and even  hate against our Immaculate Mother…

5.      For those who blaspheme Her directly in Her Sacred Statues…

6.      For the devaluation of the Rosary in the present historical and theological context and therefore no longer taught to the younger generation

7.      For the lesser importance given to the Rosary Liturgically…

8.      For the fear that the Rosary is somehow unecumenical due to its Marian character

9.      For those who do not believe that the Rosary is contemplating Christ with Mary…

Sacrifice Prayer: “O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” (Three times) (Our Lady of Fatima said: Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will now recite the Reparation and
Pardon prayers that the Angel of Peace taught the three shepherd children, aged 6, 7 and 8 at Fatima: This is the Chaplet of the Angel of Peace (Imprimatur: Cardinal of Cebu Archdiocese Philippines, His Excellency Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal) This Chaplet is for the 5 wounds of Jesus: 10 times is for youth who do not pray, so we pray for them. It is to be recited like 5 decades of the Holy Rosary with the Rosary beads.

On the Our Father beads –  (Angels Reparation Prayer) “Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly and offer Thee the Most Precious Body,  Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ  present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and the indifferences by which He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners”

On the Hail Mary beads (Pardon Prayer) “My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You, (instead of Hail Mary).

I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, nor adore, nor hope, nor love You.” (Instead of Holy Mary) (10 times)

After the five decades, conclude with: “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, Have mercy on us and on the Whole World.” (3 times)

Promise of the Guardian Angel of Portugal “Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw peace upon your country”.

Hymn: WE STAND FOR GOD

We stand for God and for His glory;

The Lord supreme and God of all!

Against His foes, we raise His standard;

Around the Cross, we hear His call!

Strengthen our faith, Redeemer;

Guide us when danger is nigh.

To Thee we pledge our lives and service,

Strong in our test that never shall die,

To Thee we pledge …shall die

We stand for God. Jesus, our Master,

Has saved the world with love untold.

His law divine and truth unchanging

In this, our land, their place must hold.

Marian Rosary with meditation (with the Fatima reflection)

Introductory Prayer: O Queen of the most Holy Rosary, you graciously revealed the treasures of grace, hidden in the Rosary, to the three shepherd children of Fatima. Instill in our hearts, a sincere and profound love for this powerful prayer. By meditating on the mysteries of our redemption recalled in the Rosary, may we be enriched with its fruits and obtain the conversion of sinners and peace in the world. If it is in accordance with the will of your Divine Son, grant us the favors we ask of you in this Rosary. Holy Mother of God, intercede for us that each of us praying the Rosary may live in accordance with the will of your Son and thus obtain the joys of eternal life. Amen.

Recitation of the Rosary: The Apostles’ Creed ….One Our Father…Three Hail Mary’s.. The Glory be...

Meditation available at: Rosary Meditations

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Mary is the Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, during our life and at the hour of death, protect us, Great Lady. Amen! (Repeat after each Decade prayer)

Hail Holy Queen: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O clement. O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Concluding prayer: (Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary): O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven!

OR

O God , whose only – begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we ask Your, that, meditating upon these Mysteries of the Most  Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what thy contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord, Amen.

Praise to the Most Blessed Virgin in Reparation for Blasphemies: Mary, my Immaculate Mother, I desire to offer you reparation for the offences, which your Immaculate Heart receives, from the horrible blasphemies which are uttered and done against you. I offer you these praises, to console you, for so many ungrateful children, who do not love you, and to console the Heart of your Divine Son Who is so deeply offended by the insults offered to you.

Receive, my Purest Mother, this little act of homage. Make me love you more each day and look with pity on those blasphemers that they may not delay to cast themselves into your maternal arms. Amen.

Grant that I may praise you, O Holy Virgin; Give me strength against your enemies.

1.            Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary Most Holy.

2.            Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception.

3.            Blessed be her glorious Assumption.

4.            Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother,

5.            Blessed be her Immaculate Heart.

6.            Blessed be her Virginal Purity.

7.            Blessed be her Divine Maternity.

8.            Blessed be her Universal Mediation.

9.            Blessed be her sorrows and her tears.

10.        Blessed be the graces with which the Lord Crowned Her Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Glory be to Mary, Daughter of the Father,

Glory be to Mary, Mother of the Son,

Glory be to Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit,

My Mother, I love you for those who do not love you; I praise you for those who blaspheme; I surrender myself to you for those who will not recognize you as their Mother.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the Sacred Scriptures:
In Exodus 20:7 and Deuteronomy 5:11 God said, “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain”. Also, in Mathew 5:33 -34, Jesus said, “You have heard that it is said to the men of old, “you shall not swear falsely”……. But I say to you. Do not swear at all.”

Reflection from the Catechism of the Catholic Church: 2146: The second commandment forbids the abuse of God’s name, i.e., every improper use of the names of God, Jesus Christ, but also of the Virgin Mary and all the saints.

2148: Blasphemy is directly opposed to the second commandment. It consists in uttering against God- inwardly or outwardly – words of hatred, reproach or defiance, in speaking ill of God, in failing in respect towards Him in one’s speech, in misusing God’s name. St. James condemns those “who blasphemy that honorable name [of Jesus] by which you are called.

The prohibition of blasphemy extends to languages against Christ’s Church, the saints, and sacred things. It is also blasphemous to make use of God’s name to cover up criminal practices, to reduce peoples to servitude, to torture persons or put them to death. The misuse of God’s name to commit a crime can provoke others to repudiate religion. Blasphemy is contrary to the respect due God and His holy name. It is in itself a grave sin.

Optional (depending on time):  Reflections from the Apostolic letter “Rosarium Virgins Mariae” and Instruction- “Redemptionis Sacramentum” :

As Pope John Paul VI made clear, not only does the Marian Rosary not conflict with the Liturgy, it sustains it, since it serves as an excellent introduction and a faithful echo of the Liturgy, enabling people to participate fully and interiorly in it and to reap its fruits in their daily lives.

Exposition of the Most Holy Eucharist must always be carried out in accordance with the prescriptions of the liturgical books. Before the Most Holy Sacrament either reserved or exposed the praying of the Rosary, which is admirable “in its simplicity and even its profundity”, is not to be excluded either. Even so, especially if there is Exposition, the character of this kind of prayer as a contemplation of the mystery of the life of Christ the Redeemer and the Almighty Father’s design of salvation should be emphasized, especially by making use of readings taken from Sacred Scripture.”

The Rosary clearly belongs to the kind of veneration of the Mother of God described by the Council: devotion directed to the Christological center of the Christian faith, in such a way that “when the Mother is honored, the Son …. is duly known, loved and glorified”. If properly revitalized, the Rosary is an aid and certainly not a hindrance to ecumenism!

On 29 October 1978, scarcely two weeks after the Servant of God, Pope John Paul II’s  election to the See of Peter, He frankly admitted” “The Rosary is my favourite prayer. A marvellous prayer! Marvellous in its simplicity and its depth. […]. It can be said that the Rosary is, in some sense, a prayer – commentary on the final chapter of the Vatican II Constitution Lumen Gentium, a chapter which discusses the wondrous presence of the Mother of God in the mystery of Christ and the Church. Against the background of the words Ave Maria the principal events of the life of Jesus Christ pass before the eyes of the soul. They take shape in the complete series of the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries, and they put us in living communion with Jesus through – we might say – the heart of his Mother. At the same time our heart can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all mankind. Our personal concerns and those of our neighbour, especially those who are closest to us, who are dearest to us. Thus the simple of the Rosary marks the rhythm of human life.”

PLEASE SPEND FEW MOMENTS IN SILENT PRAYER……

CONCLUSION: Lord, we thank You for these moments of just speaking to You and being in Your sacred presence and for Your unconditional love.

Hymn: LET US BOW IN ADORATION

Let us bow in adoration to this Sacrament so great.

Here is new and perfect worship, all the old must terminate.

Senses cannot grasp this marvel, faith must serve to compensate.

Glory, honor, adoration; let us sing with one accord.

Praised be God, almighty Father, Praised be Christ, His Son our Lord.

Praised be God, the Holy Spirit, triune Godhead be adored Amen.

Priest: You have given them bread from Heaven.

Congregation: Containing in itself all delight.

Let us Pray: O God, who in this wonderful sacrament have left us  memorial of Your passion; grant us we beseech You, so to revere the sacred mysteries of Your Body and Blood, that we may continually find in our souls the fruit of Your redemption; who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.

Blessed be God.
